Staying true to their values, Half Baked Records is bringing innovation & playfulness through great producers of the underground scene, releasing their music internationally while operating as a family. After Birdsmakingmachine, Mike Shanon, or John Dimas, the Londonese label now features SIT as part of their producers crew in their 15th release – ‘Spectral Animation’.
After a decade of teaming up, SIT project has been smoothly rising through the local and international scene. Combining their styles and backgrounds with passion and friendship, the young musicians upgraded their development to a full-grown level, with a signature sound, organic live acts and stunning DJ sets – the perfect blend between interaction and improvisation.
The EP is a journey through rolling baselines, swinging grooves and luscious chords. The Romanian duo brings through the 3-tracks EP their melodic touch to minimal house, with music that morphs in ways they can only imagine.
A-side features ‘Spectral’ – a powerful dancefloor engine brimming with lush chords and organic percussion – love at first sight.
On the flip-side, ‘Owl Farm’ illustrates moody synth progressions with a cinematic temperament that lead into a transcendental harsh beauty. When B2 entitled ‘Animation’ starts spinning, you are caught under their spell thanks to whooshing percussions, guaranteed to have the dance floor in a daze.
SIT is definitely standing out in the scene for their recipe of hard work, sharp production and intensely studied musical culture, making their appearance in front of the crowd unmissable. Catch them playing at Club Guesthouse in Bucharest this weekend, alongside Cezar and Julian.
