Vinyl Speed Adjust returns with another exciting release, this time on Drumma for their 13th. A 12” Vinyl,
“The Awakening” is definitely one of the most impressive releases when it comes to Romanian artists in
the following period.

The EP offers 3 distinctive and unique VSA productions and a really good remix from Valentino Kanzyani.
On the A-side, first we find “The Awakening”, the track that gives the EP its name. A soft and groovy
track, it is smoothly constructed and offers an exquisite vibe for the listener, which is perfectly induced
by the special sounds the guys are using, the doorbell just to give an example.

The second track is much more aggressive, as “Monoxide” seems to be a really strong production, with
spacey sounds that will definitely keep the crowd dancing, but also spreading a somehow positive
feeling.

Exploring the B-side we find “Grind”, a track full of dub that is for sure a rhythm breaker with a great
effect. An exceptional musical journey, the track is probably the highlight of the release, although all the
tracks express something different and are of top quality at least. Last you can find the Kanzyani remix
for “Grind”, that transforms the original cosmic one into something a little bit more danceable, an
interpretation that is perfect for some sunny summer/autumn days.

An incredible release, “The Awakening” is just another sample of the great vision that the guys of VSA
have of techno music.
